Geez, I last updated mine in 2005. :

I returned to my roots and I'm teaching English as a Foreign Language to 4 - 12 year olds in Rotterdam and Capelle aan den Ijssel in The Netherlands.

Currently still managing my construction and plastering company back in The Netherlands, but as it is getting more and more difficult to maintain I am letting it go.
After that momentarily un- employed and in dire need for a job.

Sometimes I do wonder if I actually have a job or just a daily grind.

I am at present running a smallish company that does pipe and cable location, underground of course, and water management. That is the finding of leaks and tracking water pipes.
We also sell the equipment to companies who like to do the work themselves.

Hello everyone, I have just completed a masters in genetics and have no job because I have no clue what I want to do with it. I would love to go into the conservation side but unfortunately it seems I would have to another course for that and there is no money in science as it is. It seems the ones who want to save the world tend to be jobless or counting change.

I thought I had updated, but apparently not! Thanks to all of your finger crossing and thumb holding I did get the job as plumbing instructor at the local college
I started in January, and finish my casual "term" on June 4th. I have just been told (unofficially) that I will be asked to come back in the fall semester

I never thought I would like a job so much, or that it would be even possible to actually look forward to Monday mornings!!

Not official yet Dotty. We are currently 3 instructors, and with the upcoming work load for next year(we're getting double class bookings) we will have to hire a fourth instructor

AND...We may also be getting a part time math instructor (an actual math teacher) to teach the lads the finer points of trade related math. Of course...currently... as none of the other instructors wanted to take on the math...the new guy got stuck with it!!

math was one of my worse subjects in school, some 30 odd years ago

it isn't quite as nice as being in the bush, but it's still fun!

Yeah , I have a job too My SO fractured a couple of small bones in her one foot a few weeks ago , and after an operation ten days ago , she hobbles around on a pair of crutches , or sitting down reading , sleeping , doing nothing , living like Lady Muck , with me now doing everything -everything, cooking , washing up , shopping , you name it
She wears this " moon-boot " , and will do so until at least end September And we are visiting Kruger next month
Just hope I will not be too tired and worn out to do our usual game-drives and so-on
Tread softly , and let your departure not be spoiled by the damage of your arrival

Next :
3 - 6 Sept 2013 - Punda.
7 - 10 Sept 2013 -Shingwedzi .
11 - 13 Sept 2013 - Balule .
14 - 17 Sept 2013 - Satara .

Part of my job is working with remotes (truly not that exciting do not understand the why some people are so obsessed with them). I am an audiovisual archivist and I am responsible for client services, outreach, public programming and special projects that include the collection of Oral History. Occasionally I teach other people how to do this at one of our Universities.

I work in Anesthesia at a local veterinary college. They let me run the department (fools!) but I also anesthetize a lot of domestic cats and dogs, and rarely a few non domesticated zoo animals (I anesthetized a white lion last fall...wonderful!)

At the moment I am off on maternity leave, raising a very rambunctious little girl, and dreaming about Kruger....

I will be going to Botswana for a month in November where I will be working. I will be traveling around villages surround the parks spaying, neutering, and vaccinated the locals dogs to help the spread of Distemper to the local lion and wild dog populations..... It is a volunteer gig.I am so excited I can barely sit on my chair! Can't wait!
Join me on my Maun, Botswana adventure!

To answer the thread question.... Yes I have a job. I really love my job but the only problem is that I sit in a office all day!!

Been thinking though....

I have spent a few years in the waitering and catering business in various countries. And after reading the occasional "Complaints" thread a thought came into my head. What if I were to send Sanparks a proposal/business plan to get all there restaurant/shop/take away staff trained in waitering/catering/customer service. Spend some time in each camp and as they are very unique in their own way, work out a business plan to compliment all it's unique points and then train the staff from scratch.

This will realy be a win win situation. The "complaints" section will be quiet, I will not be in a office all day and doing one of my favourite things - Training and I get to do this in "heaven"!!
