have taken into account what you said and re-edited.
It is slightly better but hard to bring out the definition in the eye without greying out the photo.

This was taken before the cricket evening dinner at Lake Panic. I found it very atmospheric.

While taking some picture's of landscape's around Bloem I suddenly noticed this reflection in the windscreen of the car! :D

Both taken at Rooiwal sewage works just north of Pretoria on a bird club outing. Its a pity about the big ugly wall in the middle but what can you do.

The photo was shot at about 10 in the morning, not exactly golden hour, but still good side lighting. The area around him was quite a bit in the shade and having so much dark around a white subject, it is easy to over expose and lose detail in your whites. So, I under exposed the shot and the EXIF data looks like this:

ISO: 400
Aperture F/8
Shutter Speed: 1/2000
EV: -0.7

So basically it's the water around him that's in the shade that shows up dark and I under-exposed the shot. :thumbs_up:
