During the many times I have done sunset drives from Satara I have only had 1 bad experience. This was at world cup time when we had a bunch of drunk Aussies (Nice guys really) and the guide could not or would not deal with them. Other than that all the guides we have experienced have gone out of their way to find things and be interesting. They are great

Drive to H7 to Orpen and you will have much better sighitngs
There are 15 Lion prides who have a territory that includes the H7. A good leopard and cheetah road. And most importantly, you include the chance of seeing wild dog where the s100 cannot

We went on a Sunset Drive on the 24th May on the S100 and saw quite a lot, we saw 2 Civet, Lesser-spotted Genet, mating pair of Lion, Hyena, Giant Eagle Owl, Saddle-billed Storks sleeping in a tree, Baboons and the Grey Ones (I'm guessing you will all know what they are) :D :D

I am in KNP in September and determined to change "missing cats on the S100" to "I saw the megapride on the S100".
Thanks to everyone for all their sightings as I now know they are there!
Cheetah is also on my list as I have only seen 1 in KNP and it was so far away, I couldn't even get a photo :D

I drove the road on Saterday up to Olifants from Satara and back, and although we had lions close to the road not much. The detour to Olfants is really in a bad state!! Horrific!
