Wow Ekoppen, what a fantastic sighting!!! It might be a cliche but lions are my absolute favourite animal. I am still waiting for a good cub sighting. A kill, I have seen as well as mating lions but not young cubs yet so I am  with envy that you got to see so many.

What a lovely video...I am  with envy but have to take a moment and say  , awesome footage.
Was this taken at the Shibotwana watering hole? I wasn't sure as we normally go to KNP in the winter and it looks quite different with a bit more water in it

Thank you....It was taken about 3-5k west of S41 on S100. Don't have my detailed maps here so not sure if that's the water hole you're referring too?

What a contented family.

Great sighting, thank you for sharing.
Want to say Thank You or Well Done to a fellow 'mite? Why not nominate them for a Kudu?

Due to circumstances beyond our understanding or control we still have to see lions on the S100. On the Orpen-Satara road quite a few times, also cheetahs and wild dogs.

But as others have said - have patience/persistence and the reward will be great.

Well I will try to have patience but definitely will exercise persistence when I visit the park in December. Searching for my first cats on the S100.

Ok still no luck with cats on the S100. They seemed to, once again, elude us in December. I am hoping my luck changes in our May trip. Keep your fingers crossed, however I might need some mites photographic evidence that cats do exist on the S100, as I am quickly losing faith.

So I guess your luck has changed eh? I believe cats...namely lions...were spotted on the S100 eh?
