Overcast with some 'mizzle' here this morning.

Have you read the entrance permit? Do you KNOW the Conditions of Entry?

There was some light overnight and early morning rain
in the Mopani area, welcome but more needed
There are still heavy clouds around so always hopeful.

Friends have a farm on the Olifants, close to Hoedspruit and had 80mm is a very short space of time.

Looking at the Orpen cam, it rained beautifully all over :D :D

It looks as if Orpen area had some good showers if I go by what I saw on the webcams last night and the pools of water at the waterhole this morning.
Really hope it moved across to the Satara area as well.

There was lovely rain on Saturday around the Shingwedzi area but still very dry in the Letaba area with little or no grazing. V

Today we drove from Crocodile Bridge to Letaba, and sadly I have to say it is bone dry with almost no grazing the entire way. Its a sad sight by all means. Letaba is scorching at the moment

That's sad to hear. The difference between granite and basalt areas is huge from what I can tell - especially in the south. Grazers will have a tough few months I fear.

Rain would be most welcome here in Kruger! When we booked in at Crocodile Bridge at 16:00 this afternoon, it was 40°C, and not a cloud in the sky.

Goodness Hilda that's awfully hot (even by Aussie standards) - but its the "not a cloud in the sky" that's so sad. :( Lets hope the forecast rain arrives !!!!!!!
