Thanks PNF :D

Q: More than a 1000 of the almost 3500 plant species found in this park are found only here - and haven't been found anywhere else on earth.

The isolated dolerite hills give the place a calming feeling of seclusion. A big surprise awaits you when you pass through the hills and are confronted by the large open sandy plains towards the north and west of the Park.

West Coast NP or Garden route, but only through the Wilderness section at Garden Route NP runs a National road (N2). West coast a R route (R27)

It's neither Son Godin..............but it is a R route and not an N ( so is that then a Regional Route as opposed to a National one :hmz: )

PNF,

Do you refer to a road with gates on both sides or just a road.

The only R-route running through a park with gates opened 24 hours a day is Golden gate.

Other parks with R / D routes but no gates are:
West coast - R27
Marakele - D928
Addo - R342
Kamdeboo - R63

Son Godin, as thorough as you always are. I do think PNF is referring to Golden Gate. :hmz:
