Olifants day visitor area

Unread post by Schnooks » Tue May 17, 2016 11:17 am

Hi Guys

Does Olifants have a day visitors area where we can make our breakfast?

And if they do - which is better - Olifants Day visitor area or Letaba day visitor area?

Thanks

Olifants do have a day visitors area, in the camp
You can cook there.

Letaba have a day visitors area adjacent to the camp with a pool for day visitors.

I'd choose Letaba :)

Letaba has a great day visitors area. I would recommend it. The only drawback is that it is on the other side of the camp, with no view of the river.

If the leopard has moved away, I might suggest Letaba. Both are lovely, but the Letaba one is more spacious.
The bird doesn't sing because it has answers, it sings because it has a song.

I would go for Olifants.
Not sure where the day visitor area is, but you can't beat the view

Also, the game viewing south of Olifants towards Satara is potentially better than the Letaba area

The Olifants Day Visitors area is between Reception and the pool, so unfortunately no view there either.
I would personally choose Letaba being a lot more spacious, although I agree with Yoda that the game viewing south of Olifants is potentially better. Up at Letaba though, you do have the Matambeni Hide which is stunning and gives for some great photography. We have also seen leopard there......so mmmmm :hmz: :hmz: :hmz:

You can still wander over to the view point in front of the restaurant.

Rook this pic last week - Olifants day visitor area. The kitchen and skottles are visible, top centre right.

I would go to Letaba for the Day Visitors area - and have a coffee at the Mugg and Bean there to savour the view (and pop into the Ellie Hall); and then go to Olifants Mugg and Bean, for more coffee, to also savour the view there
