The units which end in N have been renovated.
Not sure if any of the BD2V's have been done to date?

I'm not sure what the codes are. I know some of the units in A and B circle have been upgraded.

BD2Vs are G circle and they have not been upgraded.

Thank you very much. I've booked a BD2N bungalow now. How do I know which they'll assign for me? Is it possible to ask for a renovated one in the A or B circle?

Are the BD2V's in drastic need of renovation? We've booked 3 of them for September this year. :?

They are beginning to look a bit tired when compared to the renovated units. But they are clean and everything is in working order. And the situation, by the fence, is amazing.

We are booked into BD2V units, 165, 166 & 167 - Do these units have a view of the waterholes at all?

They are on the perimeter - i.e. next to the fence. The waterhole is further along - near the restaurant. Animals do walk along the fence-line, so you should see something from your unit.

I just spent 3 nights in a BD2V in Satara. The units indeed need a renovation, but they are clean and well kept: I would definitely choose a BD2V again even if it's not renovated.

The fact is all Satara is a bit magical, but braaing or eating outside in the BD2V with the occasional hyena passing by is even more magical.

Cheers,
Michele.

I agree with this. The BD2Vs are great but need a bit of an upgrade. How does one find out which areas of different camps are being upgraded?

The difference between a unit about to be upgraded and one that has just been done is huge!

Graham, I know it was the units with a N at the end of the description that had been upgraded but I'm sure its an ongoing process and without contacting the camp directly I am not sure how to find out which ones have/will be upgraded.

Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me if there is any reason to book a specific GC6BD unit? Are some better than others or have better views?
I've never stayed in these units before but if they aren't all exactly equal then I would like to try to book a really nice one.

Thank you

camken, have a look Here for some pics of a couple of them.
We have stayed in them a couple of times and as far as location is concerned I don't think there is much to choose from.
They are in the D circle as indicated on the Map
The D on the end usually indicates that it has a double bed as opposed to 3 single ones in each of the 2 bedrooms.

SATARA BD3E units

Unread post by coxell » Sun Nov 15, 2015 2:43 pm

Hello All, Have any of you stayed in the BD3E units at Satara lately? We are booked to spend 3 nights there in May 2016, and I would appreciate any comments on these units.

Coxell, have you had a look at some pics of those units Here

They are essentially the units that have the veranda's enclosed with a wire mesh, which does give one some protection from the monkeys, Honey Badgers, mozzies etc invading your unit and are found in the D circle Map

Thanks Elsa, Was wondering if I should change to a BD3B, but after your comments will have another re-think.
