Hello,
Do any of you have opinions on which Olifants guesthouse is better, Lebombo or Nshawu? Pros and cons of each?
Thanks so very much!

I haven't stayed at Lebombo but have had a couple of stays at Nshawu and IMO that is the one to go for! 8)

Have a read through Guest Houses in Kruger for some info and pics!

Dear Valued Stakeholder

The renovations are still going on, we have upgraded 29 units and we will be renovating 39 units. The pool has been completed and the contractor will hand over all necessary certification documents on Wednesday, 10 June 2015. We will therefore declare the swimming pool opened to all our guests. I will also request colleagues at Olifants to take pictures and I will post them here on the forum.

For those who have asked, attached is a photo of the new pool at Olifants from our recent trip. It's really nice and was getting some good use! Our kids loved it!

In response to Alf: maybe the photo is a bit misleading - the pool is not that small, albeit it is not Olympic size... :o

This question is for Lesley Nyawo, what system is SANparks going to have in place to prevent the day visitors from using the pool? Or is it going to be allowed? Thank you

Dear tent dweller

I trust you are well.
I have consulted with our Nxanatseni Regional Tourism Manager as follows :

The swimming pool is only for overnight guests.
We have since implemented a system whereby on check-in the guest will receive a token which is to be presented at the swimming pool gate and will then be granted access.
Part of our master plan is to move the Olifants day visitor site out of the camp.
we can’t give you a timeframe for this yet.

We will be staying in Olifants in December in a BG3 unit, there has been rumours that 50 units have been upgraded already? Are there any BG3 units that have been upgraded and now have kitchens and utensils?

Just need to make sure we do our planning properly.

Many Thanks

This was the last update we had in June this year.

I should imagine they will be the units without kitchens as that is what I understand is being added as one of the upgrades.
Maybe mail the camp and ask them to allocate you one of the upgraded ones if possible.
