I also do not mind having to walk around the camps a bit - which we do when camping having to use the ablutions and kitchens. I love going to collect boiling water in the morning and the chat about the day with other campers while washing dishes.

If you have a kettle and braai on your second night, you will not even need the kitchen much.

What a shame MM, but we will be staying at Lower Sabie on the nights of 2nd/3rd and 4th Jan, so let us have a look see nearer the time and maybe our paths will cross somewhere along the way.

Hi Tessa, I have had a chat to all my girls and they are more than happy to stay an extra night at Skuks. It does mean that we could possibly meet at Tshokwane when you make your way to Lower Sabie.

With the extra night, we will be camping in Skukuza from the 28th, leaving the 3rd Jan.

Take care,
Wendy

  Wendy I am so thrilled to be the reason you have an extra night in Kruger

That sounds wonderful and will keep in touch so we can have a meet at Tshokwane. :D :D

Skukuza LB3 units

Unread postby LawrenceMorgan » Sat Sep 26, 2015 9:45 am

Hi all,
Does anyone know where the LB3 units are located in Skukuza? I can't find them on the camp map. Planning a trip in November for 6 people. The website says they have microwaves...are they nice units? Thanks very much in advance! Regards, Lawrence

Skukuza, 'capital' of Kruger; fittingly then the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

Took these pics on/about 1 Feb 2016.

Lovely :cam:

I went there in the busiest season and I really was a bit anxious about the crowds. I came away most impressed with the way the camp was managed.

We were also there in the busiest period, early January and was concerned it may have felt overrun with guests, but everything from Reception to the shop, to accommodation and everything in between was very efficiently run. This was my first stay at Skukuza, after over 20yrs visiting the central/northern parts of the park and was pleasantly surprised.

We had a problem with our aircon and reported it to the lady at Reception in the morning (sorry I dont remember her name) and when we came back from our drive the aircon had been repaired and was working like a dream!!!

I wish I could just 'jump' into those photos....thanks DB :D
