In line with Kruger's strategy of closing artificial waterholes the water hole at Bangu is closed, so Unless its the rainy months when the spruit is running game activity might be a bit low, it is still one of the most beautiful places in Kruger to watch the sunrise over the Lebombo mountains.

Has the Bangu waterhole been demolished, or is it still open?

Think it is one of them that have been re-opened.

Hi,
We visited this waterhole in April and were lucky enough to have an amazing sighting of 2 Lion bringing down a Wildebeest. I must say we waited for 4 hours but it was worth the wait.
