Definitely warthog. There is no long tail. It is a rock, and not a ball of fluff at the end of a tail.

Hi all, Orpen webcam will be down today. The team is currently working on the waterhole trying to put some rocks as suggested to chase the hippos away and allow other animals to have access to the water.

Well at least we know that the Hippos cannot enter the water hole because of the great idea someone had to fill it with large rocks just below the water level. Well done I was also wondering how the problem would be solved,

My personal opinion is that we are witnessing the effects of a drought in the park. I have seen 4 dead hippo in 2 days, 2 actually in the Sabie river. They are under extreme stress for grazing, and also for water to escape the heat. Hippos are very territorial, so as the pools dry up, they cannot enter another pool if there are hippos established there.

Hard to watch, but this is how Nature keeps the balance. There have been years of plenty recently with a lot of rain and a very green Kruger ... we are used to that. Now we are seeing a part of Africa that is harsh, but it is Africa and it is Nature.
