When the water in those two pools at Nossob remains for such a long time, does it mean that the underground water in the river must be quite high?. African rivers are sandy and you would think that the water would disappear quickly. Anyone got any input on this please?

It's a Black Backed Jackal...Servals aren't seen in Kgalagadi

Take a look at this list of animals that live in Kgalagadi.

Yes I had looked at mammals found in Kgalagad - so not that but it's the strangest looking jackal - must be the angle! :doh:
