Anchieta’s Tchagra Antichromus anchietae
Afrikaanse naam: Vleitjagra

Description:
A Small Tchagra with the male having a black cap, chestnut to brown upperparts and cream to buff underparts, the tail is black with a paler tip.
The female has a broad white supercilium also present in the Juv.
The eyes appear to be reddish-brown.

Status:
Uncommon localised resident.

Habitat:
Swampy areas with tall grass and mixed bracken. This female was one of a pair and photographed in the Honde-valley – Zimbabwe.
