I'm no expert, but I'd say that:

2. is a blue waxbill
EVERYBODY'S TR!

yes I do have a photographic bird guide and I identified about 50 birds, but these birds I just couldn´t manage to place.
I see I made a mistake including the kurrichane thrush and the arrow marked babbler, because I already had identified those.

If number 2 is a blue waxbill, then why does it have a brown and black head? and a brown tummy?

Thanks very much! I just realised Blue Waxbills do have brown tummy's, so that is really a blue waxbill :redface:

Pretty blue bird help

Where did I see this bird? - i saw this bird in the waterburgh near a waterhole
Habbitat - trees
Size - about the size of a house sparrow (quite small)
Was it alone? - yes
What was it doing? sitting in the tree before coming down to drink
Time of year - It was Middle August 2009
