I take it that the buffalo were intoducted in the 'non' dangerous section of the park?? Going to visit Marakele in October again!! Can't wait!! 8)
Tlopi 11 July Tambotie 12 July, Olifants Backpack trail 13-16 July, Letaba 16 July, Balule 17 July, and Sable Hide 18 July and Lower Sabie 19-20 July Can't wait actually :)

Can anybody please explain the current situation regarding buffalo in Marakele.

Was there this weekend. Didn't see the buffalo, but saw a great deal of evidence around the Tlopi loop.

Saw a pride of 8 Lion on the hill above Tlopi camp, on the dirt road at the lookout point. 4 females and 4 young male lions in the pride.
