Picnic Spots in Addo

Unread post by Gilbertr14 » Sun May 15, 2016 11:31 am

Hello all formites

I wonder if you can enlighten me.

We are off to Addo for the first time in December
What are the picnic spots like in Addo?
Most importantly, do they all have gas facilities available?

Hi Gilbertr14

There are picnic and braai sites at main camp and at Jack's Picnic site off the southern access road.

Have a look at this topic Addo: Picnic Sites. Lots of info in there.

Take a table cloth with you I normally take a plastic one because it is in the bush and all sorts of creatures walk and do other things on the table. The area and tables and benches are kept very very clean but better to be safe. There is water on tap but I could not drink it, the toilets are very clean. When you have finished make sure the fire is out and all rubbish put in a bag to take home with you, we always ensure we pack bags for rubbish sometimes including other thoughtless peoples rubbish. Enjoy the picnic site it is a great place to relax

En joy your trip and let us know what you think of this great park!

Gilbertr14

Here is a link to Addo park Map

You'll find Jacks Picnic Site near the Spekboom Tented Camp. A lovely place to relax and enjoy something to eat.
