Number of vehicles at Nossob Camp site

Unread post by arne » Mon Nov 18, 2013 11:08 pm

Hi there!

I will be visiting KTP in March next year. I finally made a very early booking for this high season period.

Originally I booked a campsite at nossob for 4 adults (and 1 Baby <2 years). Now my parents would like to join us on this trip as well so it would be 6 adults (+ Baby). The campsites have a maximum of 6 People allowed but this should not be a problem as the baby does not count, does it? :rtm:

The fact I worry more about is that we will be 3 cars on this one booking (Bakkie with rooftop-tent, 2 Bakkies with popout at the sides. Would this be a problem? Should I contact SANParks for enhancement of the booking?
I guess we can fit all three cars in one lot but will be be allowed to do so? :hmz:

Hi Arne,

Three vehicles having rooftop tents is no problem per camping site. No additional costs per vehicle.

It is a problem if making use of ground tents and three vehicles as camping space is not big enough to accommodate three tents and three vehicles.

And yes you are correct children under 2 does not count........

Not sure about the rules, but last time we were in Nossob it was the norm to have 3 cars per campsite with 3 trailers. To see 60 vehicles in the camp will not be strange and lots of cars at one sighting also not strange nowadays.
