Small cats of the Kgalagadi

Unread post by lion queen » Thu May 09, 2013 8:33 am

I thought as we already have topics for Lions, Hyenas, Jackals and foxes, a topic for the smaller cats would be appropriate.

Some Suricates

The look an irritated cat gives you.......judging by the amount of car tracks on the road we were not the first people to disturb his morning nap........

This African Wild Cat looks more than a domesticated animal . . . took this pic
about 3 kms south of the Kalahari Tented Camp . . . with the first rays of sun
on its back . . . and on frozen ground at approx 6 degrees minus in the dead
of winter !

Image
Twee Rivieren : 2 nights for starters !
Nossob : 11 days from 1st March 2016 ( camping at last again !)
Mata Mata : then 5 nights at Mata Mata

. . . with the red sand in my shoes . . I'll always return
