Thank you (again) Willie V & Jan van Wyk for posting those wonderful lion and cubs photos! You were indeed very lucky to be there at the time.
Thank you also for your comments lion queen; one with nature; kyknetta and Meandering Mouse to keep this a lively and informative thread!

I captured this leopard (Kruiper – one of Maja's second pair of twins), at the Samevloeiing waterhole on the 17th June 2009 at one pm. (In the middle of the day!)

Thank you Jan, if that was two different lion prides on either side of the waterhole, one can understand that she was nervous with her youngsters by her side!

WillieV
Thank you for posting Barolong (2012) and a stunning Balete (2013) at Marie's!

Welcome Hippotragus and just keep on going to KTP! It WIL deliver those leopards sooner or later.

…..and another photo of leopard Kruiper taken on the same day as above!

Towards the end of December 2012 we saw these lions at the Batulama waterhole and signboard.

Image

Image

…..then one of them came closer to the road!

Image

Both now right in front of BATULAMA signpost pretending not to see me!

Image

Then one of them became interested in what I was doing!

FMJ,

Great series of lions shot at Batulama water hole.

The lion below welcomed us Rooiputs campsite in Dec 2013. I am not sure if he is the Mufasa Jnr or his brother Ash. We just called him Goldilocks  :

We were the first to leave Nossop one morning in 2010 (had to be at Augrabies in time) when we came upon these ladies of leisure. They were lying flat in the road and the Landie had to go around them! Later got up and walked away in different directions.

Hope to see them again when we revisit end June 2014.

Sorry can not post the photo? Why?

Thanks for advice Lion Queen - still don't understand! I'm the generation BC ("Before Computers")
