New member - hello

Unread postby lionfish » Sat Mar 01, 2014 2:42 am

Hello,

I've been following the forum for several years now and finally got around to joining today! :D Hope this is the correct place to introduce myself. I am a marine biologist in Australia, with a love of Africa, thus the nickname.

We love SA and especially SANParks. About 6 trips to KNP so far and did our first to KTP 2 years ago. Loved it that much that we are back again for 2 weeks in May this year. Can't wait!!!!

First thing I do everyday is check the webcams and sightings. Thanks to all the users that upload photos from the cams. It makes my day. :gflower:

Will upload some photos from our previous KTP trip soon.

So glad you took the plunge after so many years. The cams seem to be a Big drawing card to the forum for a lot of 'mites, mine included

Looking forward to see more of you around here, as well as your KTP photos.

If you are visiting KNP in May...fly your yellow ribbon we might just meet somewhere along the way. 8) ....Have a wonderful trip.

A very warm welcome to you to the Forums from my side too lionfish! :gflower:

The webcams are a big attraction for most of us, as are all the other topics with lots of information, as well as 'mites' experiences in SANParks with all their beautiful pictures shown in their travel tales!

The SANParks Forums are a joyful place to visit as often as possible! Enjoy! We are looking forward to your KTP photos, and have a lovely time during your upcoming trip in May! :D

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

Forestgump, I'm a warm water fish, living in Townsville, beside the Great Barrier Reef, where I am lucky enough to work.

It's the dry tropics here, vegetation is very similar to KNP. My ride to work reminds me of Sabie River area without the big wildlife. Biggest thing I might bump into is a kangaroo!
