I live in Mississippi across the stateline from Memphis, TN & Graceland, but my heart & ancestors/family are in England (London). My dreams are in Africa! So, I guess that makes me a Memphian/Mississippian/American/English/African (by heart)!

Zambian born but proudly South African, but I live in a part of the Eastern Cape ( Lower Albany) that is two hundred years behind everyone else in most things. So I would classify myself as African as this continent has no equall on this earth.

I'm a Brit married to a South African, been in SA for 16 months, currently living in Cape Town, spent three months travelling into Namibia, Bots and Zambia last year. Loving South and southern Africa, nothing would drag me back to the 'soggy island' (as my wife is fond of calling it...).

American, but not always proud of it.

Part of our love of travel is "trying on" what it might be like to live somewhere else someday. We love the US National Parks, they are gorgeous and we and visit them often... but ever since we first went to SA we have noticed that our parks lack....ellies...lions...zebras...giraffes....penguins...monkeys...

And our birds at home never tell us to drink lager!

I am a born and bred proud South African, my SO is English but has been in this country for 32 years and has still not lost the accent.

Pretty mixed up background: Born in Cape Town, father was English, mother was American. Grew up in Namibia (Keetmanshoop, Walvis), then moved to CT for school, then moved to the States as a teenager & varsity. Lived in 6 states along the east coast -- now call rural Maryland home (near a Civil War battlefield called Antietam), but my heart is in SA. Try to make it back once a year -- so far, I been able to do it six years straight.

British born, but thank goodness my parents decided in 1964 to come and live in sunny South Africa. I do feel that it is the best thing that they ever did for me !!!!
