After many many years of total abandon I have decided to return to one of my juvenile hobbies: pencil and china drawing!
The reasons really is that my son seems to love drawing and painting and has convinced me to start again and also teach him the basics. All lovely fun and hope the lad continues in the future.

These are a couple of my past sketches and hope you like them.

Hi All

Here is my daughter's first contribution to this thread: a pencil drawing of a Cape Fox.

A few attempts from me trying to do the watercolor thing a year or 15 back.
Never could get the hang of it though. :hmz:

I have only just discovered this forum, and spent last night looking through all the truly beautiful artwork that is being created.
I am a sculptor, sculpting wildlife and portraits in either bronze or fired ceramic clay. Below are some of the clay pieces I have recently finished, (inspired in part by a trip to Kruger late last year). I hope I have done the uploading etc correctly!!

Wow just got stumble onto this thread, what awesome talent guys.

Since I can remember I've been drawing on anything that I could find. My house is filled with artwork. I paint and draw extremely quickly once I'm in the zone.

Here is a picture I did one night of a tiger, I based it mostly one my cats and it's one of my favourites. Not excatly something you'll find in Kruger but it's still beautiful creatures.

I will upload more when get some time again :D

My first try at painting(since schooldays a loong time ago) - after visiting Kruger for the first time we were awstruck at the sheer magic of it...overawed by even the smallest wildlife such as the starlings, guinea fowl and the grunting yawning hippos....I had to attempt to capture the memories somehow, and even though I wished I could paint much, much better it still takes me back to that time when we realised that there really is a paradise.

'Every picture tells a story' so they say - A few years ago whilst working in Italy SO
rushed in hospital with DVT & pulmonary embolism - me stuck in UK,couldn't do a thing - except paint a picture of his favorite animal for him and then I knew he'd HAVE to survive in order to see it. All ended well & he was quite chuffed I'd done it for him.
