The Biodiversity Game

Unread post by Whoaa Luiperd! » Sun Jun 01, 2014 4:28 pm

I hope I'm allowed to start this game, if not I apologise. Thought this would be a nice biodiversity type of game. How to play: name an animal, bird, grass, tree, insect, fish, frog or spider, ie something living starting with the last letter of the creature/plant from the previous person's post. Rules : 1. only South African, 2. only common name but must be descriptive ie not dove but rather emerald spotted dove, 3. a category can't be repeated within 3 turns ie bird-animal-bird incorrect but bird-animal-tree-bird correct, 4. After naming your creature please type the National Park where it occurs ie Kruger or Addo etc. 5. To make it interesting please try and post diverse creatures/plants not only the usual ones.
Eg Elephant (animal)- Addo

Next post Tambotie (tree)- Kruger

Next post Emerald spotted dove (bird) - Kruger

Next post Elephant Shrew (animal) - Mapungubwe.

So let's start

Baobab (tree) - Northern Kruger

PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST ABOVE, the rules have changed to simplify it, it can be seen on page 37 where I explain the rules to Karin on 21 April 2015 Post

It seems as though the rules are a bit difficult so I've decide to change them a bit to make it easier.
1. South African common descriptive name Eg Laughing dove instead of dove
2. Follow this sequence (animal, bird, plant, animal, bird, plant....) The reason for the sequence, is diversity, otherwise most people just name animals so PLEASE stick to the sequence.
3. Start your post name with the alphabetic letter sequence following the previous post.

Example of posts

A-ardvark (animal) Kruger National Park

B-lack breasted snake eagle (bird) Kruger National Park

C-amel thorn (tree) Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

So let's carry on.........

Dwarf mongoose (animal) Mapungubwe
