Morning all! Tea and ginger bics in the caravan with bush view. Francolins screeching away.....but also heard a Verreaux Eagle Owl so that may be what upset them.

Good morning everyone - thanks GEJ for the tea and biccies :)
The jackals were out calling in the nearby hills this morning - haven't heard them for a long time. Two hadedas landed on our patch of grass yesterday afternoon - one started making strange hissing like noises and following the other around. Turned out it was a female with a full grown chick that didn't want to feed itself  - she found plenty of nice juicy worms and things in our patch and promptly fed her offspring. Don't know why but somehow it reminded me of years ago when our son was a teenager ......... aka "the bottomless pit" :?

Have a great day all!

Good morning Mites!
I'm back at work today. Eugene was a bit sicky on Friday so I took the day off to take him to the doctor and to look after him. Turned out to be a nasty ear infection so the poor love was in a lot of pain (explains why he was screaming non stop since 3am Friday morning). Luckily he's all better now.

A colleague is back from his 8-day trip from the Kruger ... so guess what our office talk is about this morning...

Nou-ja let's get going again. Wishing you all a lovely week! Monday, Friday... Saturday, Monday, Friday, Saturday Sunday... that's how its going to feel with the public holiday on Wednesday.

A quick good morning greet to everyone.

I'm on the hop again today. Going for a quick hair repair now. Short back and sides doesn't take long to do!

Hadeda chicks do that all the time here, PNF.

Have a lovely Monday, mites.

A very Good Morning everyone!

Another sunny and hot day here today!

Glad Eugene is better again Kryna, ear infection is not nice at all.

We now have a pair of Blacksmith Plovers in our dam and I often hear them during the night if something disturbs them and dive bombing anything that comes close to where I presume they are nesting!

I have had to resort to hanging our small bird feeder in a tree otherwise the Spurwinged Geese we have here just upend it and pour all the seed out and then devour it.
They cant' get to it easily now so all seems peaceful now.

Do all have a marvelous Monday and week.

Morning all .. A bit overcast here and it's gone all cold brrrrr :wall: .. Arthur & his dad are coming over, there was a plan to do away with an old garden 'Wendy house' or maybe it should be called den/club house as it was my boys in days gone, it's all falling down now .. But SO says it's too cold to go in the garden  an excuse me thinks :hmz: .. Today my friend Anne signs the papers to sell her house, all very sad as she's been there a long time and it's a lovely thatched cottage overlooking the river with a beautiful garden  ... She's now looking into moving into a gated complex ... Hope you all have a lovely day and see you at Hugh's :k
