Your Best Sanparks Photographic Destination

Unread post by timbo » Tue Jan 06, 2015 7:49 am

Hey Guys

I know, I know, I haven't been on in a very long time but I thought it was time I get back and what better way to come back then to ask a question.

If you could visit any of the National Parks with the goal of capturing fantastic images of both the landscape and the animals, where would you go? Which of our National Parks are your favourite photographic destination?

Let me know :D
I try my best and that's what matters I hope.

Hi,

i think each park offers unique photographic opportunities especially when it comes to landscape options thats what makes the National Parks so unique. my favourite is the Kgalagadi, it offers opportunity for both landscape and wildlife in relatively open areas.

I do agree with you Mems  . Every one of the parks deliver in both aspects :D .

timbo, I don't think there is a clear-cut favorite park when you use photography as criteria :hmz: . Every park is unique when it comes to scenery, animals, birds and flora :D .

If money and time was not an issue, I would also visit Kgalagadi more than we currently do. Augrabies is also a wonderful place to visit. Then you can also include the Garden Route and Kruger.

Off to Kruger:
17-19/10/2016 Letaba
20-22/10/2016 Punda
23-25/10/2016 Shingwedzi
26-28/10/2016 Mopani

Totally understand, each park is unique and different and offers something to photograph, but what is that one reserve that comes to mind when you are planning a trip?

That first reserve that sparks your interest and excitement?

That will be Kruger, because you have the Northern-, central- and Southern areas to choose from  .

For photographic opportunities i would choose KTP, but since it is now beyond my reach financially, I make do with Kruger  There is not much pain involved I hasten to add; it is my favourite park. The winter light is amazing.

Combination of fantastic animals and landscape?

Mountain Zebra, bar none.

Went last October and will be returning this November/December for a longer stay and to make more photos. It is a very special place.

Kind regards,

Adam
