OK friends, foes, Englishmen and Roman women...... :sup: :lotsocoffee: Image
I GOT IT  -SEVEN SPECIES IN ONE PHOTOGRAPH.
I was out on Roodeplaat today and got this long distance pic on the shore of the conservation area. At first I though it may be a fiver, but was super existed when I counted the birds after downloading the pic at home. There was in fact a Darter on the rocks that flew off, which could have made it the mythical eight.
I promise the committee will be reviewing matters in this thread soon.......

er Waterbuck, I know you are sole judge, jury and executioner, but this is stretching it a bit on a National Parks forum.

I propose that the pic MUST be taken in a NP AND there must be at least one mammal......

I agree BB! If this one counts Waterbuck, I could have taken a picture of eight yesterday on our lawn while we were having a braai!

Whoooooo :rtm: :rtm: :rtm: :rtm:
The masses have spoken (or they are jealous) :rtm: :rtm: :rtm: :rtm:
Need the committee (of one) remind you that we live on a continent of autocratic leaders........where rules are made to serve ones needs and broken to achieve ones goals.......

I get a feeling I am on thin ice here...........fortunately I am a reasonable autocrat (is there such a thing?). It seems that some people are questioning the rules for multi-species pics that have been established through a democratic vote by committee members ..........

OK - all that aside. I am man enough to accept that my seven-species haul can be disqualified because it was not taken in a National Park (no, actually I am sobbing like a little girl ). But since you people are friends and since I can't afford to loose members to this thread, I will accept this rule.

So lets review the rules:
1. Only animals count - no plants.
2. No dead animals or stuffed museum specimens.
3. People are animals, but they don't count.
4. The pics must be your own original shots.
5. Photoshop will be seen in the same light as peanut-butter and sardine sandwiches for breakfast.
6. Pixel sized or unidentifiable animals will be counted at the discretion of the committee.
7. Only pictures taken in South Africa National Parks may be used

Can anybody add anymore rules :rtm:

You would have been a "top scorer" if your picture was taken in a National Park!

That was to whet your appetite, the picture still has to be converted to JPEG and suitably processed etc....

Later today perhaps :D :D

Hi there peeples - while we wait for BluTuna to post his amazing multi-species pic I am reflecting on my disqualified pic that was not taken in a national park. I'm still miffed, but I can bet all of you I am sitting in the best possible place right now waiting for BluTuna. Its a National Park in SA and my accommodation looks like.............this..........
