I loved the colours in this pic of sunrise at Oliphants [unfortunately have no idea about what to do to get rid of the reflection]

Hi granjan

Lovely colours indeed!!

If by reflections you mean the pail disc at the bottom centre, then it would be fairly easy to remove with the right software. Do you have an image editing program like Photoshop Elements, Paintshop or Corel Photopaint? The technique is called cloning and is where you cover up one bit of the photo with bits taken from another. In this case there is plenty of purple background to copy from.

The only thing is, I’m not too sure that removing it would make it a better photo!

That reflection is called flare, which can be avoided in most cases by attaching the sunshade of your lens. And is often added when you use an UV-filter.
But in this case is nice!

I can easily remove it for you if you want, just send me the large version. However I sometimes seek it, just for the effect. I have a photo of a place which can not be mentioned here  but if you remind me I'll post it monday. That has flare as well, by design.
Not posting much here anymore, but the photo's you can follow here There is plenty there.

Noel, some excellent pics there - thanks.

Here's a couple from Winkelspruit when we were there in April, all taken from the balcony early morning.
