When I connect to a picture, I connect to an emotion.

The bird doesn't sing because it has answers, it sings because it has a song.

Great topic and great pictures!

Jumbo, I am curious about the rubber snake. Did it help to keep the monkeys away?

Came across this guy sleeping on a very hot, late afternoon near Nossob in the Kgalagadi. As we were watching him a very pleasant, cool breeze started-up. Almost immediately he looked-up and turned his head into the wind. The look of bliss on his face speaks for itself.

This was taken in Satara Camp in September last year. I had just taken another picture when this curious bird appeared to see what I was doing. After a couple if head tilts at me and deciding that I was of no interest he flew off into a tree where he proceeded to barrage me with advice to "go away!"
