Mother and child with a difference....a Redchested Cuckoo (piet-my-vrou) with foster mom - a Cape Robin...taken 3 days ago in my garden.

Found a family of ellies with 3-4 small ones sleeping and mothers around keeping guard.

I'm going to add my own "mother and child" bird picture, just because it was such a special sighting. It was taken close to Punda.

even as juvenile, this eagle is a "king" among the birds.

Yep. Were just born and the mom has been adopted by our son, cheetahking, sinds 2008. :lol: :lol:
