Uhm, Seems I never got to post those favourite photos in this thread after all.
Here they are, special moments watching these two raptors catching termites. Also posted on the Bateleur thread.

I have not been to KNP since October 2008, and really feeling the urge to get back into the bush! I will be in the park for 17 days in October this year, and cannot wait!

These are my favourite pics from our trip to the park in 08. Taken just south of Balule. Spent about an hour with this pride of 8, and watched them attempt to take down a kudu (unsuccessfully)

Some amazing photos on this thread!
This was taken just before the gates were due to close, after the cross-roads near Skukuza.

I am a budding Wildlife Photographer. I live in Durban, SA and I've been going to the Kruger Park every year since I was 6 months old (I'm now 18).
Here are 3 of my favourites from my latest Kruger trip in Dec/Jan 2009-2010:

Open-Billed Stork in the Shingwedzi River

Mopani Caterpillar (I think) at Mopani Rest Camp

I have no clue what KIND of Spider this is ... all I know is that it's of the SCARY kind

gwendolen wrote:@CathJakins I like the male kudus at Addo! Although the photo is a bit grainy and the colours are a bit over-saturated, the composition really works. :cam:

The day that I took the photo was a really dreary and horrible day so the lighting wasn't good at all  . And we were so far away from them so I've tried to make it look as striking as possible (with the little tools I have - no photoshop or anything) but evidently it hasnt worked. :slap:
Here's the original without cropping and only a slight adjustment of light:

Hope you dont mind...I cropped it, removed teh noise, franctionally sharpened it, and then converted it to mono using a red filter effect to bring out the depth.

I did this in Paint shop Pro. Just to demonstrate that soetimes, "drab" photos make great mono shots :)
