So I have added a 2nd body to my kit.

Current set-up:

Nikon D3000
Nikon D7000
Nikon 18-55 DX VR
Nikon 18-105 DX VR
Sigma 70-300 non-APO (Looking to sell this soon)

Future additions:

Nikon 35mm f1.8 DX VR
Tamron 70-200 f2.8 (If I could get a decent price on a second hand VR1 I would go that route)
Why do time fly when you are having fun?

Ughh reading thru some of the kit in this thread makes me feel rather insignificant :) and a bit jealousy as well   ;)

I've got:

Canon 7D
Canon 18 - 135 F3.6
Canon 100 -400 USM
Canon 50 F1.8 (for the night shots etc)
Canon 430 EXII Flash
Battery pack

And a whole list of filters and flash equipment tripod monopod etc :)

still trying to take good enough pics to justify some serious equipment. Until I learn the whole camera it wont be upgrade time :)
At the end of it all you don't want to go into the grave peacefully and quietly in well preserved body... You want to go sort off skidding in sideways, full of bruises and scratches saying: "Man what a ride!!!"

My camera strategy is.
1-Image quality
2-Reach
3-Size
4-Weight
I shoot mostly video with some photos and my wife shoots all photos. Eighty percent daytime wildlife.

My wife's kit,
Panasonic GH3 body, 14-140mm, 3.5-5.6 DSLR equivalent 28-280 mm plus extended telephoto (optical not digital)

Panasonic GH3 body, 100-300mm 4.0-5.6 DSLR equivalent 200-600 mm plus extended telephoto
to 900mm+ with in camera cropping (optical not digital)

My kit,

Panasonic GH3 body, 14-140mm, 3.5-5.6
Panasonic GH4 body, 100-300mm 4.0-f5.6

Each cameras' thirteen presets are programed identically so makes no difference which camera is picked up

ThinkTank Security roller bag, Handles all four cameras and much more

Sold everything else

Yes I'm really pleased with these hybrids

Manfrotto MKC3-H01M Compact Series Tripod with Photo/Video Grip Head
Cotton Carrier, two camera vest (for bush walks)

"Lightning Trigger"TM shutter release

Hi All
New to this thread
I enjoy the photography but still very new to it. Also pretty much self teaching. I got lots to learn.

Kit:
Canon EOS400d
Canon EOS40d
Lenses:
-Canon 18-55
-canon 70-300
-sigma 150-500
I use a bean bag and also Manfrotto monopod.

I would like to upgrade to canon 70d or even 7d
but they are costly and the So says learn every function on your current cameras even if they are old before spending money!

Anyone selling theirs- she doesn't need to know :naughty:

Thanks alot
come what come may, the time and the hour runs through the roughest day
