We saw more meerkats and different meerkat colonies in 9 days in the Namaqua NP than in three visits to Kgalagadi NP.
I was not aware that they are found so close and in such numbers on our western coastline :D

Part 4 and finale.

Image
Heaveside's Dolphins
Not the best quality pics but these guys are so quick, all over the place and extremely difficult to anticipate where they will breach the surface.
Still, it was amazing to have sightings of these dolphins every single day at various locations along the 50 odd kilometer stretch of coastline that falls within the park. :D

Image
If you look carefully, you will see 4 dolphins breaching the wave in the center of the pic.
We were not even aware of them until the pics got downloaded to PC 8)

Thanks for all the comments guys

I am always extremely weary of making too many people aware of the last few beautiful, secluded places that are still around for the fear of enticing too many people in visiting these places. :?
You know what happened to Kgalagadi, Kaokoland, Damaraland etc?
10 to 15 years ago you didn't need to bother with a booking for Kgalagadi but after the road to Tweerivieren got surfaced and Getaway, Go magazine and Wegsleep started to print articles about these places, the experience although still good, has definitely deteriorated due to increased visitor numbers

Notwithstanding the above, the Namaqua Park made an impression on me like very few of the numerous places I've been to before and I could not stop myself from sharing
