At the Waterhole 'Dalkeith' we see a group of Giraffes.

On 'Dertiende Boorgat' it is especially nice today. Many butterflies fluttering around the waterhole. It is a beautiful sight. Gemsboks and Ostriches come to drink.

We find again a Cape Cobra that raids a sociable weavers nest. It is a very different territory than the first time (further north).

And then a Mongoose:

At the 'Kamqua' picnic site we take a break.
One place is already occupied by a Cape Cobra!!! :D

Image

We believe's proper distance and park the car rather one more piece further away.
Then we observe the Cape Cobra for a while. She winds on the tree and snapped after a bird - without success.

Image

Image

Then she disappears into a Ground Squirrel hole.

Image

A few days before, we have observed there still lively squirrels with pups. Now nothing is to be seen...

Welcome and thank you, Stampajane :D :D
You are right. A safe distance is advisable.  Fortunately we have a tele.

25.04.2012:
Today we make another trip to Twee Rivieren.
On the way 2 Cheetahs go along. :D From time to time they mark a tree. When more and more cars arrive, we continue to drive to Twee Rivieren.

Welcome and thank you, cheetahlady. :)
Fittingly, now come a few cheetah pics.

Of course, we stop again at the two lions. They have changed her position only a little.
At this moment the 2 cheetahs also arrive there. There are the two that we have already met on our way there.

They "squint" to the lions and lay her way in some distance to these away.
Right above at the shrubs the Lioness lies on her back:

26.04.2012:
We drive along the Nossob river valley to the north.

Near 'Gunong' we discover lion tracks along the way. We follow a while, until the tracks disappear into the bushes. We nearly want to give up the search, there we discover 2 lionesses.
