Thanks Hilda was an unforgettable morning, went to the hide to get a sunrise shot and the action just erupted around me.

A fish eagle tried to grab a heron chick from the nest in front of the hide, then the crashing of brush warned of the action unfolding on the right hand side.

I'm afraid this will be my last post for a few days as my flight leaves tonight for SA, going via Dubai so not into Jo'burg till tomorrow night.

I can't match a brilliant WD sighting and a kill...... :hmz:

...but got the Fish Eagle in action.......if only he was flying towards me...may be next time... :hmz:

Jan van Wyk, thanks for your comments. Worthy praise indeed.

Showed the Benefit of a second camera, had set up my 1st on the tripod with a wide angle lense, single shot cable release filters ready for the dawn on the left side of the hide, and then the action develops on the right

I'm sure you will get the fish eagle coming at you next visit.
