I have loved this thread all year and promised myself that when we went to Kruger I would be going to Lake Panic Hide. Yes with so many trips to Kruger I couldn't believe that I hadn't been yet and this time I was going. It was awesome. I loved it. We were spoilt with a great sighting of an African Darter hunting and being a successful fisherman! At first I saw this snakelike movement. (Definitely think the Afrikaans name of Slangels is very appropriate !)
Then it popped up with its kill. Here are a few pics. The excitement shows in the blurs of my unsteady hand!

That is one big croc (flatdog  ), and lovely A Darter & Giant KF, Jan
Enjoy your trip to Kruger

Mischief, such a special place to just sit and switch off... sigh. You captured the mood beautifully

Cape of Storms, brilliant action of the Slanghalsvoël (African Darter) - that neck just like a snake (slang), but what is even more amazing is how he manages to swallow that large catch with such ease     (Will we be treated to a TT :hmz:  )

Just came out of the water... brrr

WOW, this thread is on a roll. :D

COS, that fish is really impaled. What a stunning series of shots.

Kaapsedraai, not those feathers are really ruffled. I love the colors. 8) How does a bird remain so white?

Jan, I look forward to more. I hope that you have a fabulous trip.
