Hi Jan. 2 questions for you if I may. Are you still using your Canon 1d with the 400 lens. You graciously have me that info in the Kingfisher thread.

Secondly, hope to be doing a birding trip with my teenage son in December, and have chosen Skukuza as our camp because of its proximity to LP. Do you have a personal preference for the time of day you like to visit the Hide, or is it a random visit based on the route of your drive for that day?

It's early - but we've already got the old map out and started to look forward to it.

For sightings you can visit LP the whole day.....but for photography the best light is in the afternoons.... :thumbs_up:

I spend many hours at LP in the afternoon.........very hot in December but very active........ :thumbs_up:
