Poor Jose, no she wasn't driving, she'd left us by then
Trip report I vowed to keep one but after Jose left and I relied on her it do it, it all went out of the window I'm afraid.
We had a brilliant time and even stole an extra night.
We arrived late on the 4th and went straight to Punda, the safari tents are fantastic, shame they aren't nearer the watehole and have better views. We had a view of the sewerage system but who cares when you are in Kruger.
Next morning we set off early to Crookes Corner and just before Klopperfontein Dam on the S61 we found +/-10 wilddogs sleeping under a tree. What a fantastic start to our trip
We had great nyala sightings and at Crookes Corner we watched a dark chanting goshawk drinking from a pool of water. We were quite surprised to see so much water in the Limpopo and Luvuhvu, more than we had seen last November
Sunday, the 6th, before we went to meet Jose, we took a short drive out and met some lost souls heading for Mozambique in a bakkie. They didn't hesitate to get out of their vehicle to relieve themselves, then walk to the signpost to try and find their way, we were totally amazed, told them to get back in the vehicle, pointed them in the right direction and took a few pics of the whole episode
Jose then did the trip report for the next 8 days, I'll try to pick up after that when I'm back to earth again but I do know that I saw:-
more different antelope than I've ever seen before on one trip
Perhaps you should sweep this to my trip?
