A fantastic start to the weekend with 3 lifers picked up at Mooiplaas Water Hole on Wed late afternoon - Kittlitz's Plover, Kurrichane Buttonquail and Redwinged (Collared) Pratincole. The whole area is teeming with general game, lots of breeding herds of elephant and buffalo. On Saturday morning we had a wonderful leopard sighting a few kms from camp followed by 3 magnificent lions with a female, again at Mooiplaas. There were very few vehicles at both sightings which is such a treat in the Park. We saw Tsessebe a number of times, a pair of Reedbuck with a juvenile and a couple of Sharpe's Grysbok. On the raptor front we saw a couple of Martial Eagles, 2 pairs of Wahlberg's, already sitting on nests, and the usuals. A huge thank you to Roger and Helena at Tsendze who come round every evening to chat and keep the camp spotlessly clean. They are a valuable asset to the Kruger Park. A great weekend!!!
