Trip report Kgalagadi and Augrabies August 09

Unread post by Coala » Tue Aug 11, 2009 1:28 pm

Well just some feedback from my recent trip to first the Kgalagadi and then Augrabies. Too short - that is the consensus. We have had a wonderful three days at Twee Rivieren (unfortunately i could not get space for anything higher up) camping and then three days at the Augrabies Park (in a beautiful redone chalet). Well done Parks, this was truly worth it - the service, facilities etc. really commendable. Although we did not see much at the Kgalagadi we really enjoyed the peace and surroundings. Did the Augrabies trail (which is supposed to be sedan friendly but i would not recommend it in a sedan - especially towards the western part) and that amazed me. Really truly awesome landscape. And although we did not see many animals, those that we did come across made up for it. Herewith a few pictures to wet those appetites.
