This will be a new experience to me - I have never slept in brick-n-mortar in the park.

Maybe i should take my matress out under the trees, I'll feel more at home there!

Ingrave it into your minds...dream of it, visualize the finish line.

The S100 FAQ.

Q. how did this start?
A long, long time ago (so it feels) a concern was raised over some rats at Pretoruis Kop. After all the heated discussion died down on conservation vs extermination and indigenous vs introduced, a number of forumites hijacked the thread and used the humour of the situation (to the moderators dismay) and turned it into a huge humour fest reaching a 100 pages of utter nonsense. This group called themselves the RATPACK. A few master minds within this group manipulated the Mods to keep on changing the topic name leading up to an announcement that the huge following of the thread would no we used to raise funds for a worthy cause

Q. Who are you guys?
A. We are just 6 regular blokes. Well this could be stretching the term regular a bit far! The team consists of:
DotDan – a master at stirring where he shouldn’t, but if he did not stir this up the rangers would be so much worse off.
Imax – Somehow he has become the spokesperson for this initiative. How, he doesn’t know, as he generally talks the most rubbish of them all.
Joekin – Joekin is the king of crazy in the group. It seems that there is not a dare or challenge that’s to great for him
Bahamut – Bahamut disappears for long whiles leaving the rest of us wondering where he has gone (we still don’t know), but mention a few drinks and he is the first to arrive
Gerharddb – The youngest member of the squad and also seeming to be the most quiet. But nothing misses this young mans eyes, so we are relying on him to spot leopard cubs at 300 meters!
Moegaai – Moegaai is a mad birder. He is known to have braved a thousand stinging nettles to spot a Livingstones Turaco!

Q. What is this all about?
A. This is about giving our beloved parks something back. We all enjoy what they offer to us, but few of us realise the hard work, dedication and sacrifices people like the ranger make every day to ensure that our heritage remain protected.

Q. When will it happen?
A. The team will depart from Gauteng in the early hours of 31 January 2009 and will remain in the park for as long as no one can manage to throw us out, which will probably happen around the 3rd of February. We will enter the park at about 7 am at Kruger Gate and make our way up to Satara, from where we will prove that there is life on the S100.

Q. Why are you doing it?
A. How else would our wives and partners allow us to go for a boys weekend?

Q. How much do you hope to collect?
A. We hoping that we can collect about R30 000 to buy critical equipment needed by the game rangers.

Q. Will we eat healthy? (an Angel Qustion)
A. Yes – a beer and a Super C sweet has all the required minerals and vitamins needed in a day and a beer is equal to 7 slices of bread

Q. Will the rats wash as often as they should? (Angel Question)
A. How often should we? With a 100 task to do will there be time?

Q. Will the rats even change their clothes? (Angel Question)
A. Dotdan has already packed his PJ’s so yes!
