What a wonderful feast of photos - thanks EJ for those. I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. Hope your ribs mended nicely and you have no further problems with them. So painful whilst they are knitting! You certainly seem to have had a busy but exciting year last year and you are obviously doing work of much value too.

Salamanda - it seems I can still bounce reasonably well (although my sister tells me to remember I am an old lady now!!!! :P ). Did also miss my footing on the ECI trailer while getting ready to unload the ATV one day and fell backwards off the trailer.....fortunately flat sandy (but hard!) surface so survived and kept going.

Giraffe posing nicely, although a little camera-shy

Have you read the entrance permit? Do you KNOW the Conditions of Entry?

Completed over 8 years in Kruger in my caravan.

If I was normal I wouldn't be me!

I was asked to help with a birding challenge (fortunately only as the driver......my bird knowledge is still in its infancy......) and while driving to Biyamiti to meet the team found a lot of vultures gathered, and took a few photos of those near the road

And then found an osprey too

Some fun.....this tree, viewed on the trip back to Skukuza from the airport, keeps catching my eye.......It looks so much like a giraffe!

And a delightful Giant Eagle Owl seen on one of the loops on the Mlambane road during a sunset drive.....the guests with me that night found this sighting the highlight of the trip.

We tried to keep up the tradition of entertaining guests waiting in the queue on the bridge over the holiday period......This day some crocs were feasting on another crocodile. Watched them pull it apart and then into the water until the current eventually took them under the bridge and down the river out of sight.

Had a short visit to the West Coast National Park in May for the SANParks Honorary Ranger Indaba. Sadly not too much time to explore, but did get out one day on a Marine Biology excursion.
