Deville catch-up part two

Our next trip was 2 nights at Satara, 1 night at Orpen and last night B&Dal.
20 – 24 June 2007 :lol:

First day from Malelane to Satara, lots of general game, specials.

Day 3 Orpen

Saw this majestic White Rhino Bull on the S126, Sweni Road.

Stayed in Camp for most of the day and got some nice photos of birds

We had another appointment in Nellies so we had to leave the Park early

Found Pearl-spotted Owl and Whiretailed Swallow on our way out.

One thing that intrigues me, is how does one tell a Dark Chanting Goshawk from the Gabar?
My book in fact shows the DCG as more like yours with the Gabar having a paler cere and legs. :?

Thank you Elsa 8)

I might be wrong, both have red cere and legs.
This one was about the size of a Pigeon, whereas the DCG reaches the size of a Guineafowl. Maybe the boffins can help.
