Aat's trip to Addo Elephant National Park

Unread post by Aat » Sat Oct 07, 2006 5:47 pm

Aat and Elly Vuik (The Netherlands) visited the Addo Park and stayed there for about 3 days.
We stayed in a rondavel near a waterhole with a beautiful view.
We were lucky to see big groups of elephants. The time we were there it was hot.... and elephants came in large numbers to the wet-places.
We watched them many many hours and almost became part of the family life .... it was really nice to see how different groups met and the children were playing together after the dominant "ladys" excepted each other families.
Also beautiful was the large numbers of buffalo who came downhill , very quiet and enjoyed drinking and playing in the water.
The time we were there it was not very crowded and the rondavel we stayed in was very good.
All together we had a nice time and as you can see here and on my website I could make many pictures which I like to share with you. I posted many more wide angle pictures of the elephant groups since there are not so many of them and I hope you feel a bit part of these groups when you look at it.

till next post and quetions or remarks are welcome.

have a nice time en enjoy wildlife ....
