The early bird catches the worm.
In the past we have been almost every morning first through the gate and with some luck were blessed with a few great sightings.
I would like to share with you some of our early in the morning and later in the day sightings during our stay in Kgalagadi from the 12th till the 21st of August 2017.

We booked in at Twee Rivieren , where the people were as friendly as always, at 11h00 on the 12th of August. I must say I am getting used to be called oom (uncle)Willie by some of them when they see me.
We were too early to unpack and as in the past went on a drive to Melkvlei. Our first sighting other than Springbok and Gemsbok was this Slender Mongoose. The Afrikaanse name describe it actually better as a Swartkwasmuishond directly translated a Black brush Mongoose.

At Leeudril were Blue Wildebeest and some Ostriches.

Some of the many Gemsbok along the Nossob river were looking for shade.

That mongoose is just the most beautiful, rich, desert color. :D Absolutely spectacular.

   at your flying Jackal. Now that is perfect timing. What a wonderful series of pictures.

It is possibly trying to capture some poor wee mouse. :hmz:
