Hi we came across this 'fruit' and was wondering if anyone knows what it is:

Then there was these four pips we removed from the one fruit:

Hi Scorpion,

It is the fruit of Cordyla africana (wild mango). They ripen after being shed in January/February. Edible but not very palatable. Mainly found along the river east of Crocodile bridge rest camp. There is a good specimen next to the parking area in the camp.
