I saw a large herd of about 15 Sable on the H1-1 Napi road between Pretoriuskop and Shitlave Dam turn off on Monday afternoon last week.

We saw a small herd of Sable, with youngster, near Punda Maria in May this year. When they spotted us spotting them they raced across the road and disappeared into the bush - lovely sighting!

Both sable and roan occur in the Makuleke CNP (i.e. the Limpopo and Luvuvhu river valleys), albeit rarely and singly. Probably strays from Zimbabwe (Gonarezhou).

Saw both roan and tsessebe on our first trip in 2015. The tsessebe were on Capricorn Loop; the roan were right by the driveway to Mopani camp:

We also saw a sharpe's grysbok on the S50 near the Nyawutsi Hide.
