Re: 31DEC15 in Shingwezi? Any specila event at the restaurant

Hi patriceabout

Shingwedzi is hot that time of year and part of the restaurant summer offering is insects dive-bombing on you, sitting on the deck by candlelight. I love it but my wife finds it rather creepy. This scenario will probably provide some hilarious moments. You might want to consider booking a table indoors to enjoy air-conditioned comfort and protection from 'attacks'.

I was there last year over New Year Eve and the camp was dead quite by 10pm. You don't have to book a table at the restaurant as I doubt it will be that busy. We did not do it as it was raining but I know they offer a Midnight trip to the bridge outside camp and include champagne to toast the New Year in. Everyone get out on the bridge and has a glass of champers or whatever you bring along to drink.

Hi all.
This year will be our first Christmas and old/new year in the Kruger.
Do anyone know if something special will be happening in Berg & Dal.
Not that we need a noisy party.

Some camps do organise a late drive out over midnight but you would have to enquire at the camp itself and I guess if there is enough interest they might consider it.
