On the final day of the trail what time (approximately) do you get back to Satara? I'm trying to plan my onward journey.

Cheers,

Hi lys
On the final morning, you leave the camp directly after breakfast and can expect to be back at Satara at about 08:45 - 09:00. Enjoy the trail, it is absolutely incredible :)

Thanks for that. I've done Nyalaland trail before so its not going to be totally foreign to me. Still exciting though.

Cheers

Hi Helsinki,
unfortunately it does look as if there is no trail for those dates and as all the others are the same I suspect they don't run them at the time.
But I can try and find out more info for you if you like.

Helsinki , there are no trails then as its just too hot and the camps do not have electricity so no fans . the walks are also just too hot and a great chance of heat stroke ...and sun burn Temps can reach over 40C at times . And as you are coming from overseas would not be able to take those high temperatures . even we hardened South Africans would not survive for long in that heat

I know that you must be disappointed, but try to make the best of a plan B.

I would suggest booking for early morning bush walks and possibly a bush braai or two... or three.

I have been on trails when the temperatures reach over forty and it was no joke. Our walks were cut short and the afternoons were spent cooling down with wet towels and t-shirts.

Yes, its hot,i know. But not really a Problem for us, we are used to it...
Last year we did a private trail in the okavango Delta at the Same time... No fences, just ground tents, no fans and also over 40 degrees... I think this was exactly when the heatwave came up.....
But getting up as early as possible, take a 15 km walking Trip in the morning than rest in the shade and took another walk in the evening makes it a perfect activity
Therefore im just wondering that its not possible in kruger...
