One of the seven lions we saw the first afternoon on our way from Satara to Sweni camp close to the river- they were walking in the direction of the buffaloes and wildebeest

A very protective mother - this is the lioness who stormed us. We did not take any photo when she stormed, as we were too scared that the movement will draw "special attention" from her. It was very difficult not to run away. Photo was taken when she was back at cubs, still growling.

Cautiously walking away form the aggressive lioness with Marius at the back - his rifle ready for in case the lioness stormed again. Riana has recovered from fright and taking photos again...

Our group photo. We did a few Kruger trails now and Sweni was the most exiting. We had enough exitement to last us a lifetime...
Next year we will be doing Olifants.
If you ever do a Kruger trail, you will find it a life changing experience, it is like an addiction - you simply cannot wait for the next one....

 Thanks for the report & pics Diesel!

It's lovely to see that eventhough you were all ladies & faced with many frightening encounters you still felt safe & comfortable!

A trail is on our to do list and after reading that 8 ladies can do it and have such an amazimg time I'm even more motivated!
